Who is poor?

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the
trip?'

'It was great, Dad.'

'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.

'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father

The son answered:

'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?

Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

'Life is too short and friends are too few.'

This is a beautiful article: The woman in your life...very well expressed...

This is a beautiful article: The woman in your life...very well expressed...

Tomorrow you may get a working woman,

but you should marry with these facts as well.

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;

Who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as

you have because she is as human as you are;

One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your
Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system
that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as
much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;

One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who
love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family ,name

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you
sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment

and that kitchen

One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook
food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more,
and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother,
a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as
to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that

you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;

One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at
her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing
to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy,
unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;

Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won't, simply

because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise

One, who can be late
from work once in a while when deadlines, just like
yours, are to be met;

One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important
relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some
and trust her;

One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows
in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most
importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this......

Please appreciate "HER"

COCONUT OIL FOR BEAUTY

Coconut oil, due its high saturated fat content was branded as unhealthy and artery-clogging which could cause heart diseases. This claim has been widely disproved by the scientific community and it is now being hailed as one of world's healthiest cooking oils. Though it may take time, perceptions are slowly changing as people are beginning to realize its tremendous benefits. Coconuts and coconut oil have always been a part of the cuisine in tropical countries like India (South) and Sri Lanka and even today coconut is indispensable in their diet. For now, let's leave aside the health benefits and focus our attention on the beauty uses of this wonderful oil. South Indian women swear by it. They attribute their dense, long, raven black hair and a flawless, clear complexion to good genes and the liberal use of coconut oil in their diet and beauty regimen.

Technically what makes it a good oil to use for cosmetic purposes and skin care is its chemical formulation. Its small molecular structure allows for easy absorption through the skin, giving it a soft, smooth texture and hence is an ideal treatment for dry, rough and wrinkled skin. Unrefined Pure Virgin coconut oil is extremely high in antioxidants that can penetrate deep into the underlying tissues of the skin to prevent and protect against the formation of free radicals that make the skin lose its elasticity. Regular application protects the skin from developing ugly spots and blemishes caused by aging and overexposure to sunlight. That's why this oil is regarded as the best natural ingredient lotion for the skin. It's also very inexpensive and is easily available. The lovely smell and feel of virgin coconut oil is so enticing that you will fall in love with it.

Coconut oil pre-bath massage

One of the previous posts The luxury called 'oil bath', had elucidated how a pre-bath whole body massage with oils, better known as 'Abhyanga Snana' in Ayurvedic terminology keeps the skin soft, young and supple for years. After bath, just pat yourself dry; do not rub your skin vigorously with the towel so that your skin retains a bit of oiliness. This oil-massage is also highly recommended for people with extremely dry skins, persons of all age-groups and for all skin-types in winter. And if you do not have the time to indulge in an oil-massage everyday do remember to add a few drops of coconut oil to your bath water.

Coconut oil as an after-bath moisturizer

Coconut oil can work as an excellent skin moisturizer if applied immediately after a shower. Oils such as olive, jojoba or coconut oil, and Vaseline (petroleum jelly) sit on top of the skin and lock in moisture, thus acting as a water sealant. That's why they work best when applied to damp skin. Keratosis pilaris, a skin problem can be alleviated with the regular use of coconut oil on body after a bath while the skin is damp. People suffering from mild to moderate Xerosis due to some defect in their skin's barrier have a dry, rough, scaly, and itchy skin. They should regularly moisturize their skin with pure coconut oil after bath to deal with this condition effectively.

Coconut oil for other skin problems

An external application of coconut oil also relieves eczema symptoms. It can also help in conditions like fungal infections in toes, athlete's foot. As an under-arm deodorant it helps to prevent body odour.

Coconut oil to protect your skin and hair from sun damage

If you can't help venturing out in the hot sun often, then apply coconut oil to your scalp as a protection from the harmful and drying effects of the UV rays and also do not forget to soothe your skin afterwards with a liberal application of aloe vera gel to which a few tsps of coconut oil is added.

Coconut oil in face packs

Do not forget to add a few drops of coconut oil in your face-packs in winter, if you are above thirty and if you have dry to normal skins.

Coconut oil to cure cracked heels

For cracked heels, combine coconut oil with petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and apply over those areas before going to bed.

Coconut oil for dry, flaky lips

Dry, flaky lips can also be rejuvenated with a liberal application of pure coconut oil on them.

Coconut oil for dark elbows and knees

Take half of squeezed lemon and pour half a teaspoon of coconut oil in lemon skin, rub on dry and dark elbows and knees to help with spots.

Coconut oil to remove eye makeup

Use it to remove eye makeup by gently applying it on damp cotton wool and delicately remove it with gentle inward motion.

Coconut oil for hair

Coconut oil can be used as a pre-shampoo hair conditioner. Warm the bottle of coconut oil by placing it in a container of hot water and then take a few drops of this warm oil in your palm and massage it gently into your scalp. It smells nice and as mentioned earlier its small molecular structure allows for easy absorption into the scalp. You can leave it overnight. This oil-massage also ensures a peaceful slumber and is especially recommended if you have trouble falling asleep easily. Shampoo it off the next morning and it will leave your hair with a smooth texture. If you do not like to keep it the whole night, then apply it a few hours before washing your hair and cover your head with a shower cap to allow deeper penetration. But you can get better results only by leaving it overnight. This treatment with coconut oil is as good as an expensive hair treatment at the salon. Coconut oil application also helps with dandruff problems too and hence much preferable to other strong medicated shampoos. You can also prepare many herbal oils using coconut oils as the base. For instance, this Aloe-oil helps with split ends and this Amla (gooseberry) hair oil and hibiscus-based hair oil not only promote hair-growth and prevent premature graying but also help with insomnia.

Curry leaves hair oil for premature graying

Curry leaves oil also delays premature graying of hair. Here's the procedure of preparing it. Take a bunch of curry leaves and grind it with little water to get a paste. Add this paste to 2 cups of coconut oil and heat the mixture till all the moisture evaporates. After it cools, store it in a bottle. Use this to deal with gray hair problems.

SOME BEAUTY TIPS

Vicks VapoRub might give you relief during a spell of common cold. But did you know that it could also help fight nail fungus that makes the nails to turn yellow?

Application:

You have to file the nail and rub in the balm. It gives a slight stinging feeling. Slowly the nail will turn from yellow to brown and begin to grow off. You have to do this twice a day. Always file the nail as far as you can each time before the application of this ointment. Someone I know had tried this and the results were pretty fast.

Unconditional LOVE !!!!

Here is a story about lord Krishna that will tell us What true love is about.

Krishna, while living in Dwarka with his favourite wife Rukmani, would very Often softly utter to himself, " O Radha… O Radha."

Rukmani felt jealous and asked him why he kept Remembering Radha so often. Krishna did not say Anything. He just smiled.
A few days later, Krishna complained of stomach Ache. Rukmani gave him medicines, but the pain did not Go away. He kept moaning in pain.

Krishna told her that only a little charanamrita (blessed water) of a person who truly loved him would Put an end to his agony. He begged Rukmani to give him
Some of her charanamrita.

A shocked Rukmani refused: " How can I commit such a terrible sin? You are the Lord of all that be, and if I gave you my charanamrita I would surely go to hell."

Krishna than asked Rukmani to send an attendant to Vrindavan and try and procure some charanamrita from Someone there. Soon the attendant returned with a Cupful of charanamrita and as Krishna sipped it, all The pain disappeared.

He then asked the attendant, " Who gave you this Charanamrita?" the attendant replied, " no one in Vrindavan was ready to give it on learning it was for Lord Krishna.

Then one young woman came running up to Me and gave me this cup. Her companions cautioned her, " You fool Radha, you are committing the greatest sin. But she did not care. She said, "I don't care about What happens to me but I cannot bear to see my beloved Krishna in pain ."

Krishna turned to rukmani standing by his side and Said, " Radha is not afraid of going to hell for me. She only thinks about me.

So if Radha loves me so Much, should I also not long for her?"

This is what true love is about. It is Unconditional. Sacrifice is the most important characteristics of True love. That's why we have Radh-krishna Temple not Rukshmani-Krishna Temple.

Benefits of Walking Exercise

It is said that every person has two doctors with him... his right leg & his left leg.
A vigorous 5 mile walk can do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy man than any medicine or psychology. it is the easiest exercise for most individuals, one that can done without equipment except good shoes, in most terrains & weather & also in very old age.
What we are talking about is not just walking but brisk walking. Here are the benefits of the same--
Why walking ?
Walking is the most natural exercise known to man.
Besides this, here are the other benefits of walking ---
1 ) Walking improves circulation
Calf muscles are man's second heart. On walking, these muscles pump the blood to the heart with all force. This leads to greater heart exercise, increased oxygen requirement & better blood circulation.
2) Walking is good for the heart
The increased oxygen requirements lead to exercise for the heart. On a long term basis, it leads to a better circulation for the heart. Thus it reduces the chances of a heart attack.
2 ) Walking cuts fatigue
Once daily brisk walking has become a habit, you start reaping the benefits.
Soon there is no need of any laxatives.
No more low back ache.
No more of that catch while bending.
Above all, in shape body is not easily fatigued.
3 ) Walking improves the posture.
4 ) Psychological benefits
Many studies have shown enormous psychological benefits of walking. It has been shown that daily walking habit reduces anxiety, tension & improves mood.
What is "brisk walking"?
It has been shown that what works best is not walking but "brisk walking". Scientifically, it correlates with the pulse rate that you should achieve for the maximum benefit. However, simply speaking, brisk walking means : a level that's not just strolling; but not out pf breath either.
How many minutes a day should one walk briskly?
No study has established the exact time for the maximum benefit. However 45minutes to 1 hour is a good guide.
You can even incorporate it in your daily life style. That way you will automatically walk briskly to the office & for that matter anywhere. A short brisk walk is is worth two miles of ambling. That way you will easily get minimal amount of good exercise every day. And, as striding becomes a habit, you will soon get more exercise, willingly.

Drink water on empty stomach

Dear All,

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up
every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We
publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and
serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had
been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for
the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat,
epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and
urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes,
constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders,
ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 glasses
x 160ml of water
2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45
minute
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
4. After breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2
hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water
at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually
increase it to 4 glasses per day.

6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and
others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to
cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1. High Blood Pressure - 30 days
2. Gastric - 10 days
3. Diabetes - 30 days
4. Constipation - 10 days
5. Cancer - 180 days
6. TB - 90 days
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days
in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards - daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement
of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.
is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work
in our life.
Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their
meals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit
while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to
you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold
water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will
slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it
will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid
food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats
and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a
meal.
A serious note about heart attacks: Women should know that not every
heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.
Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart
attack.
Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake
up.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be
aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to everyone
they know, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

Now roll it as we do for making puri. it ll turn back so ur can simple roll with ur hand itself. itis not required to be of big size.

Keep a tawa hot and ready while you do the last stretch. Flame should be on medium high throughout the frying process. let cook for few minutes, now flip on the other side and a tsp of oil, you will see it becoming fluffy, flip one more time.
Using both hands, try to beat it once, just like clapping, to seperate the layers.
